Fall
Season 2008 information
MASL will offer league play for boys and girls teams U09 through U14
beginning in September 2008.
Novice
Divisions (Girls and Boys)
Teams U09 through U12 will play
in an 8 v 8 format on downsized fields in accordance with USYS
recommendations. Games
will be scheduled on Sunday afternoons beginning September 7,
2008 and ending November 23, 2008.
There will be 8 to 10 games and all players receive
participation awards.
Junior
Divisions (Girls and Boys)
Teams U11 through U14 will play
11 v 11 on full size fields.
8 to 10 games will be scheduled on Sunday afternoons
beginning September 7, 2008 and ending November 23, 2008.
The winners and second place finishers in each division
will receive trophies.
Senior Girls
Divisions
Girls teams U15 through U19 will
be offered an alternative, state cup qualifying league with
games to be scheduled on a cooperative and flexible basis,
primarily on Sunday afternoons between September 7, 2008 and November 16, 2008. This league is designed to provide qualifying league play for
teams that might prefer to play several games in one weekend,
rather than one game each week, such as teams participating in
several tournaments during the season.
The schedule will depend on the needs of the participating
teams.
Fees
$450 per team. $200 of the fee is a refundable bond.
There is a $100 per team discount for clubs registering 3 or
more teams. Note: in order to receive the
discount, the club must pay all fees for all teams
and designate a club official to whom the bond refund is returned.
Before sending your payment, find out if there are
at least two other teams in your club registering.

Deadlines
Registration deadline July 18,

In order to be
accepted, registrations must be complete with all information
requested including a second contact whose phone number
and email address are
different from those of the head coach.
Payment in full due July 25, 2008
Rosters due September 1, 2008
Teams must be
registered with USYS through their home state Youth Soccer
Association. Rosters
must be copies of the official state, stamped rosters and all
players must have USYS player passes.
